Leah offers both 30-minute and 60-minute tutoring sessions, tailored to meet the unique needs of each age group and learning stage. For younger students, typically in grades K and 1, Leah recommends 30-minute sessions to maintain engagement and focus. During these sessions, we concentrate on foundational skills in reading and writing, including phonics, phonemic awareness, spelling, and handwriting.
For older students, or those ready for more extensive instruction, the 60-minute sessions allow for a deeper dive into literacy skills. While we continue to reinforce foundational skills, these longer sessions also cover comprehension strategies, extended writing assignments, and executive functioning skills to support organization and learning independence. This flexible approach ensures that every student receives the right level of support and challenge to grow confidently and effectively in their literacy journey.
